| Boston Brocos AAU 2008 |

In the year 2000, the Boston Broncos, came with the idea of changing the system used in the youth league tournament, implementing a tournament in fall season which they called “WOODEN BATS TOURNAMENT”. The main point of this tournament was to teach each young player to use wood bats instead of aluminum bats when batting.
Before, in Boston, MA never was a tournament in fall season and only aluminum bats was permitted in a baseball game. The impact of this idea was as big that others teams in the city of Boston started using wooden bats in their tournaments.
The use of wooden bats has help and will help a lot of these young players to establish a better performing when they get to the college level and start pursuing a career in professional baseball.
